The Manufacturing Image Compiler (EI-MIC)
is used to create the various composite images and sub images used by the Manufacturing Module. It combines the power of an image editor, a drawing tool, and a compiler. The composite images created and edited can be a combination of drawings, text, images, and overlays.
Because the Manufacturing Module can be deployed on both UnixTM and PC networks, it uses Abstrax's Advanced Imaging Technology (AIT). AIT allows full screen images to be displayed in sub-second time even when Xterminals are utilized.
The various drawing and placement features provide the user with the flexibility to use precision numerical entries or freehand mouse entries. Perhaps the most powerful feature of the Image Compiler is that sub-images can be modified, and each of the composite images that contained all or part of the sub-images can be regenerated incorporating the changes with the click of a button.
