The Manufacturing Scheduler (EIMS)
is used to schedule the work to be completed at each station of a production line or a production area and maintain the overall schedule for the associated area.
The main production screen is used to schedule orders on the production line. The line supervisor determines which stations can be used for a production run, which orders will be scheduled on the production line, and whether the run will be optimized for throughput or order priority.
When the production run is scheduled, tailored procedures will be dynamically generated for the work that will be accomplished at each station for each order. Additional routing information is generated to insure that the order flows through the proper stations.
The schedule editor is used to edit or rearrange the current schedule for an entire production area or for an individual station in the production area. The screen also allows a line supervisor to access and view the procedures that have been scheduled for any station in the associated production area.
